typos. stagnation.
Nick pointed out the fact that my entries are riddled with typos, and that there are entire words missing from sentences, to which I say: what the hell do I care? I've lost all morale, and I still don't have a toilet. I've been waiting so long on this remodel that fucking Domino folded in the meantime.

Phase Two: Nothing is happening.
1. there is no toilet here. i don't know what this means for my construction guys, although there is a starbucks cup filled with yellowish-brown liquid in the kitchen...
2. i am on the verge of dying of sheetrock dust inhalation.
3. all i have to look forward to every morning, when i first arrive, is to stare at my half naked neighbor, who likes to do his morning stretches in front of his window.
also, a tip for the ladies: buy your tiles while you are wearing a dress but covered in dust. the salesman will think this is cute and give you the contractor's price.

Phase One: demo.
cost of demolition: one PBR and a basket of buffalo wings at Brother Jimmy's for Jonathan, plus $40 gas money for 5 trips to a dumpster.

check out my gorgeous stove. the base cabinets were literally torn off the wall with J-Law's bare hands. he's an effing beast.

parquet floors were removed with a single hammer and chisel by yours truly. it was a three day project and came at the price of a pinkie joint that now locks from time to time. the staircase was sold to an exotic dancer who needed a ladder to her VIP room. really.

gutted bathroom: spent one afternoon removing the old tiles. next, i found the studs and went to town on the sheetrock with a crowbar. (i like saying studs.) my only protective gear was a pair of swim goggles from k-mart.
